Born in Bridgetown Barbados as Robyn Rihanna Fenty on 20th February 1988, Rihanna is a singer, actress and fashion designer.

Her first two solo albums, Music of the Sun and A Girl like Me, were released in 2005 and 2006 respectively. They both peaked in the US Billboard 200 top ten and were influenced by Caribbean music.

In 2007 she released her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad which included the Grammy Award-winning single Umbrella and had more of a dance-pop influence.

Following on from this she released a further 5 hit studio albums, including the Billboard 200 number one, Unapologetic in 2012.

She has sold over 250 million records worldwide and won nine Grammy Awards, and is one of the best selling artists of all time.
